Wednesday's Word - Friendship

I did the majority of this post Monday evening.
Yesterday morning (Tuesday) one of my devotionals was all about friendship and it brought tears to my eyes that God was giving me the confirmation that I heard Him when He gave me this word.

I've not posted anything very personal in quite some time.
I was criticized by a lady on her blog who said I thought I was "superior".
Although that was some time ago,  I've thought so much about that recently and allowed the devil to use her statement to hinder me!!

Hopefully, the "real" me will return soon!!!

Proverbs 11:30
The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life;
    a wise person wins friends.

Proverbs 13:20
Walk with the wise and become wise;
associate with fools and get in trouble.

Proverbs 20:6
Many will say they are loyal friends,
    but who can find one who is truly reliable?

Proverbs 24:26
An honest answer
is like a kiss of friendship.

Proverbs 27:6
Wounds from a sincere friend
    are better than many kisses from an enemy.

Proverbs 27:17
As iron sharpens iron,
    so a friend sharpens a friend.

Proverbs 18:24
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
    but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

In HIS Most Precious Lve....and with mine, too!!!

Blessings,
Deb

  1. Wonderful posting, often we are wounded, but more times than nought we learn from it. And just a question, if you haven't been the real you, who have you been? To me I haven't noticed anything different- just another sister in Christ, trying to be obedient to what God has called her to and to use what she's been given. I have always appreciated your postings, even though my replies as have late have been few and far between- God bless- and carry on

  4. What a beautiful post!

    I believe I wounded someone last night and I worried over the email for days before sending it. It was not a mean email, just facts and it should help her by knowing this. ( I would have to post too many details for this to make sense, but...) SO I replied to her reply and can only pray fr the best. I sent the message from a friend, to a friend, in Christian love and care.

    So my friend, you were right on cue with this post this morning for ME!

  5. The comments people make are usually a sign of where they are and not where we are...you are one of the best!

Kind words are like honey—
sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
