Psalm 34:2-3
I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.
I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.
Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;
let us exalt his name together.
let us exalt his name together.
Self-righteous.....
superior.....
preachy.....
from the "religious" side of the family.....
thinks she's better than others.....
a stick in the mud.....
way too serious.
These are all words that have been used to describe me.
I have family members and 'friends' who really don't want to have a lot to do with me because their lifestyle doesn't match mine. If I'm around them, they pretty much know that I'm gonna mention God and His goodness, not because I think I'm one iota better than they are.....
actually, quite to the contrary, because I'm just a sinner saved by God's sweet, precious GRACE and I want EVERYBODY to know about it.....
that they can have it, too, if they don't already.
I just find it so difficult to understand how He could love ME.....
Deb.....
a filthy sinner.
Does the name calling hurt?
Do the words sting?
Not as much when I read my Bible and see what others endured all because they had hearts for God and were only trying to share His Word and get others to see just how much they are loved by a Heavenly Father.
And, absolutely NOTHING we can endure on this earth can compare to what Jesus went through!
So, what's a girl to do?
Yes, we are ALL ministers once we accept that sweet invitation from the Lord to let Jesus into our hearts.
It's up to us to share His love with others.
It's our calling.
It's our ministry!
Breathing in Grace,
I pray continually for those the Lord has given me a burden for looking for opportunities to share the good news all the while hoping in the One who changes hearts!
