All Your Needs

Philippians 4:19 (NKJV)
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Is our economy worrying any of you? Gas and food prices, cost of clothing, back to school items for the kids...all of these prices are getting higher and higher. But, you know what?!?! We still have a God who is in control and He supplies all our needs...notice I said needs...not necessarily our "wants". Since He prompted me to quit work almost 2 years ago, I could give you time after time that He has supplied our needs. Sometimes it was right at the last minute, but He came thru. At first I worried....then, as I've seen Him show us His mercy and His grace and His blessings each and every time that I gave the situation to Him...well, I know that He is in charge...He is in control...and it's a good thing that I'm not...and each time a situation arises, I find myself worrying less because I know that I am not in control...He is!!! I wish that over the years that I had written down each and every time that the Lord came thru for us...like the time that we needed to re-roof the house and it was going to cost $1400....our income tax refund that year was $1440. He blessed us with exactly what we needed, plus an extra $40. You know He works that way. You might ask, why don't you just go back to work? Well...I've had that conversation with the Lord, too. And...I know in my heart...that when and if it is time...He will come thru with the perfect job for me, too!!!

One more thing...remember when the year 2000 came around and so many people were afraid of some kind of catastrophe happening? I know of some people who stockpiled enough food to last for at least a year. I really questioned their thinking because that was another situation where God was in total control and what could we do about it???

We serve an amazing God. Seems like daily I discover something new and exciting about Him. Get into His word....study it and apply it to your life...look up scripture on anxiety (worry), and see what you can come up with that will comfort you. He is our Comforter in times such as these!!!

I Peter 5:7 (NKJV) - Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.

Proverbs 1:33 (NKJV) - But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure, without fear of evil.

In His Love...and with mine!!!

you sure are up early this morning. worry...worry.. my hubby is so laid back i just do not know how not to worry i suppose. just yesterday he said have we miss a meal do the boys have no toys and do they have no clothes. i said no back to him but that does not mean i am not going to worry.
i know we all have more than we need. a friend of mine son who is 16 yrs old said we all have too much anyway. just maybe with the economy the way it is we all will go back to a a simple way of life. not eating out as much and not wasting money on the things we do not need.
