God's Thoughts

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
Isaiah 55:8 (NLT)

Have you ever had a day where you made plans to get something in particular done...go someplace...maybe clean the house, or do laundry, or run errands??? But, something else would come up. This happens to me quite often, and I always know without a shadow of a doubt that it was God interfering with "my plans" and making the day turn out just for Him. I walk most weekday mornings, and sometimes I just happen to meet another lady in the subdivision and we always wind up having a conversation that involves the Lord....what He's done for us, or asking for prayer for a certain situation. I know that it's God's timing that we see each other just when we do.

I have some days that God puts people in my path...like the subdivision lady....or somebody will e-mail me...or I'll get a phone call....and it is somebody needing to talk, or needing my help with something. I've learned not to let any of this be a discouragement to me...I know that it is God's timing and God using me....because, this is something that I asked of Him. So, be careful what you ask for, if you're not willing to follow thru. I asked Him to put people in my life that I could be a help to, since I'm not working. Now, I think I mostly meant that I could pray for...not have to actually go out of my way....ha! ha!.....Again, God's ways are entirely different from mine...and His thoughts are nothing like mine...thank goodness!!! Sometimes prayer is all that is required of me, but sometimes I have to take time out from what I had planned to do God's will. I am so glad that His thoughts are not like mine...and that He is so able to work things out in ways that I would have never even dreamed!!! Isn't He awesome?!?!? Do you ever just picture yourself sitting down with Him and having a heart to heart talk...kinda like you would a best friend, or your spouse??? Why not do that????...after all, He is our BEST FRIEND!!! So...never ever hesitate to talk it over with Him...and please don't wait until you have something major going on in your life...give Him all the little things, too...that's what He's there for!!!!
