Tithing.....

Matthew 6:1-4 (NLT)
“Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.
When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Do you tithe???
Don't answer that....well, don't send me your answer!!!

I truly feel that tithing is a personal decision, and it should remain between you and God...just as the scripture instructs us to do!!!

2 Corinthians 9:7 (NLT)
You must each decide in your heart how much to give.
And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure.
“For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”

With our economy the way it is, I realize that lots of churches are suffering because church members don't feel like they can continue to tithe.

1 Corinthians 16:2 (NLT)
On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned.

Does tithing just mean "money"????
I don't think so.
We need to give God a percentage of not only our money, but also our time....our talents....just whatever we're blessed with....we need to give back.
I had somebody ask me once, in regard to tithing, how they could afford to do it.
I don't remember my answer....but today, my answer would be in the form of another question,
"How can we afford not to?"

Here's a cute little video about tithing...
hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!

In His Love...and with mine!!!
