I know I'm somebody.....

.....because God don't make no junk!!!

We've just started a brand new Bible study at church, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.  It's a Jennifer Rothschild study entitled "Me Myself and Lies".....and it's all about our negative thoughts and how we tell ourselves things that aren't true.  It makes us think about
"would we talk to others that way"....
....or....
....would we even talk to ourselves that way...if we knew God was standing right there listening?!? (which He is!!!)

For many years my negative thoughts weren't just thoughts....I verbally spoke them out loud.  I think sometimes I did it before somebody else could get a chance. 
Understand what I mean?  
It was a "defense mechanism".  I went ahead and said hurtful things about myself before somebody else got a chance!!!  But...you know what that does....eventually, you start to believe all those lies you tell yourself.  And....sometimes....what others hear you say about yourself....makes them feel like they can be critical of you, too....and then you get all hurt and mad....when you started the whole thing in the first place!!!
ARGH!!!!
Sound familiar?!?!?!?

 If any of you are guilty of this same thing.....let's agree to do this.  When those negative thoughts start creeping in (and of course we all know that's actually the old devil himself)....let's repeat the following verse of scripture:

Psalm 139:14 (KJV)
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
