God is good.....all the time......

.....all the time.....God is good!!!

Yesterday, I went for my mammogram...hope that's not TMI.....but, that's not what I want to share with you. I want to share the conversation that I had with another lady who was there for the same reason. She was scared because she was there to have more than just a mammogram. Her doctor had found a lump and she was there for a mammogram, ultrasound and a needle biopsy. She was also alone....her husband hadn't came with her because she planned to go back to work after the procedure. She and I started talking and after she told me all that was going on with her, I told her I would pray for her....and that's when our conversation took an entire different turn.

She shared her life with me....things she had done in her past....and how she had "been there done that and got the t-shirt"....she also told me that she had folded the t-shirt....put it away....but for a period of time took it back out and wore it some more.
I felt such a closeness to somebody that I had never met before in my life....all
because of our precious Savior....who bled and died on the cross for us both. After my mammogram, the tech had me go back in the little waiting room to wait on the film to develop....and she was still there....still
alone....so we talked a bit more about the Lord. I was almost a month late in getting my mammogram this year....and I chose yesterday because it's Tuesday and I thought Jess and the boys would be at school....I wanted an early appointment, which I always ask for.....but God....but God knew this lady and I would both be there at the same time. He knew she would need somebody to talk to and to pray for her....and He knew that I needed reassuring that I'm right where He wants me to be!!!

Ain't God good.....oh, yes He is!!!

Please offer up a special prayer for Cindy that her test results will be negative!!!

Blessings to you!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  2. Dearest Deb,

This is what we call a "divine appointment". What a blessing that God put you in that particular spot at that particular time. You know, I truly believe that God does this more than we realize...but we are just too busy with our own lives to notice. Praise His name! Oh, that I could be more aware of the times when He wants to use me.

Quick story of a DA...I used to volunteer in a local Christian bookstore (before it closed)and waited on a lady who had just come from the hospital with the diagnosis that her husband was dying. They were on vacation in Maine. She only came into the store because she had wanted to get her hair washed at the beauty parlor across the street (she'd been sitting by her husband's bedside for three days)and the shop didn't have time for her so she came into the bookstore just to take a breath. Well, long story a bit shorter, she was on vacation from Vermont...we talked...she told me her story...come to find out...she used to be my sister's next door neighbor (for 15 years)! We prayed, she left, I called my sister in Vermont, who called her church and they began praying. I thought that was the end of story. Well, my sister ran into her a month later, her husband did not die...but had a miraculous recovery! The neatest thing about the whole story was that I wasn't even supposed to be at the bookstore that day...I was just filling in!

Thank you so much for sharing this story today, Deb. I was selfishly feeling a bit grumbly because I have to do something today that is going to upset my normal Wednesday routine...you just reminded me of how I truly should look at every situation and opportunity!

    Have a blessed day!
    With love,
    Laura

  4. Debbie,
You were just where you needed to be yesterday. It always amazes me how personal God is. Some have probably told Cindy that meeting you yesterday was a spot of luck, but God knew when both appointments were and who would be sitting together in the waiting room. Sometimes God sends angels, but sometimes He sends us so that we can practice being angels!
    Love,
    Mis

  6. He has a Plan and it is great that you recognized it and were there for Cindy. Your conversations probably helped her more than you know. Will be praying.
