Wacky Wednesday's Warped Sense of Humor

 You know I've told y'all that I get a daily e-mail from Tim's Inspiration.  I've enjoyed getting them for quite some time because they are always something so inspirational and always touch my heart.

Well....this one...just plain made me smile....no, actually I laughed out loud when I read it....of course....I sometimes have a warped sense of humor!!!

Here's what Tim had to say about it....
 This cracked me up and made me think. Before you write... Yes, I know it's not scriptural correct. It's silly. It's fun. Hope it makes you smile, laugh and think!
~~~Tim~~~
One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there was seen,
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.
But then some stranger prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord, "What have we here?"
Those prints are large and round and neat,
"But Lord, they are too big for feet."
"My child," He said in somber tones,
"for miles I carried you alone.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made me wait."
"You disobeyed, you would not grow,
The walk of faith, you would not know,
So I got tired, I got fed up,
And there I dropped you on your butt."
"Because in life, there comes a time,
When one must fight, and one must climb,
When one must rise and take a stand,
Or leave their butt prints in the sand."
~Author Unknown~
Please leave me a comment letting me know that I'm not the only one who found humor in this poem.....and also could see a lot of myself.  I know that God doesn't drop us.  He continues to carry us even when we don't realize it sometimes.....but I know there have been times when I totally deserved being dropped on my big ole butt!!!
Blessings to you!!!
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
  1. Yes,I think this is funny. I have always said God does have a sense of humor. He probably has thought about this concept.
  3. Debbie, this is too much...I love it, but then again, I'm a big laugher--I even laugh at myself when I trip or have clumsy accidents. Yeah, my kids say it is a sign of a true sense of humor when you can laugh at yourself. This is too funny. I'm going to share it with friends I know will get a kick out of it.
    Loved visiting. Blessings!
  4. Yes, I am sure He has a sense of humor. I am sure that there where times he felt like dropping me along the way, but I am glad he didn't.
    And I know the Lord has had to do just that at times. :o) But he doesn't abandon us there thank goodness!
    Hey, I have a giant giveaway and it's connected to at least several hundred other giveaways with SewMamaSew. I know how much you like those so I wanted to make sure you got wind of this before it closes which is tomorrow. Sewing stuff and handcrafted items from tons of bloggers. I'm giving away a bobbin winder, tote bag, homemade candle and sewing book.
    Love you! PS. I posted a new linky list but called it Wednesday Weight Watch! How are you doing this week? So it will encourage an update rather than just a focus on the weight loss only. :o)
    I'm trying to get caught up on paperwork at home, so I haven't been able to do as much commenting lately as I like. Trying to put family first you know. :o)
  9. Definitely made me laugh. I'm always surprised He has dropped me yet. But I will be forever thankful that He's still holding on. :)
