The Great Outdoors

Have you noticed how everything growing outdoors just seems to be bigger and brighter this year?
I love being outdoors....well....except for the skeeters!!!
If there's one within a hundred miles, it will track me down.

Here are a few things blooming in our yard right now!!!

I can't wait for our garden to "come in".
I can already taste those fresh maters, cucumbers, green beans and corn.
Oh...and we planted watermelon....and taters!!!

When I took the pic of the garden, I didn't realize that "Buddy" got in the picture, too.  She's a little dog that sorta belongs to the entire neighborhood.  I call her Buddy because she's our walking buddy!!!

And...here's one more little thing I want to show y'all.
I've seen this done on a couple of other blogs but they were a little different than mine....mainly because I took the cheap route!!!
I bought 3 small plastic pots at Fred's....99 cents each....and 3 numbers from Wally World for....I think...around 60 cents each.  I spray painted the pots with paint I had on hand....cut out the numbers and added them to the pots....planted ivy and impatiens in the pots....and set them on the iron bench under the tree in the front yard....and VOILA....house numbers!!!!

Hope all of you are enjoying the outdoors!!!

Just don't forget....invest in plenty of OFF!!!

Wednesday Blessings to each of 'ya!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  2. Wow, I wish I could walk through your beautiful and bountiful yard!

Thanks for your comment at my rope post, too. What a coincidence that I am in the same boat and finally quit my job to begin the next phase of my life.

  3. Good Morning!
Your garden looks great...much further along then mine...but I think that is because you get much warmer weather sooner! I love your pot idea with the numbers...I think I am going to try that...it is so cute!
    Blessings,
    Laura
