A-R-K

I came across these verses in Matthew recently that I've always liked.

Matthew 25:35-36 (NLT)
"For I was hungry, and you  fed me.  I was thirsty, and you gave me drink.  I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.  I was naked and you gave me clothing.  I was sick, and you cared for me.  I was in prison and you visited me!

When Jesus was asked when they had ever done these things....here was His reply.

Matthew 25:40 (NLT)
"I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these, my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!"

I had a conversation recently with someone who was somewhat "bragging" to me about all they did for others.  It hurt my heart to hear them because even though what they were doing was an act of kindness....those things need to be done in secret....according to scripture.

Matthew 6:1 (NLT)
"Watch out!
Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven."

So....I guess this post is kinda two-fold!
First of all....no matter what we do for others....even the smallest little thing that we often forget by the next day/week....well, it doesn't go unnoticed by God.  He remembers and He blesses us for it.
And....secondly....the things that we do for others....we need to keep it a "secret".

I guess that's why I really like the initials ARK and what they stand for so well....
An act of
Random
 Kindness

Proverbs 11:25 (NIV)
A generous man will prosper;
he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.

Happy Monday, Y'all!!!
Hope everybody has a great week....full of lots of God's blessings!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
