Mishmash Monday

 I haven't done a Mishmash Monday in a few weeks....so I thought it might be time for one!!!
So....here we go....as our baby GRAND-son says!!!

1)  Anybody can win unless there happens to be a second entry.
~~~George Ade~~~
But....in the case of winning the little owlie....we had sixteen entries.  Fourteen left comments on the post....and I received 2 via e-mail....which I'll allow....since they do "follow" my blog.
So....do you want to know now....or wait 'till you read thru a bunch of other stuff first?  I figure if you have to read thru a bunch of stuff....you'll just scroll to the bottom and miss whatever else I might have to say....but if I go ahead and tell you who won....then, you might stick around and read the rest!!!
:)
(not that I would ever scroll to the bottom first to see if I'd won!!!)
;)
So....without further adieu....here's how I picked the winner.  I printed off all comments.....and included the 2 names I received e-mails from....
....then, I cut them out....
....folded them up and placed them into a basket.....
.....asked my precious hubby to draw out a name.....
 ....and here's who the winner is....
....Ms. Hallie!!
Thanks so much to all who entered....and thank you for your precious comments!!!
I'll share a little announcement about my owlies at the end of this post!!!
2)....and speaking of owlies....I sold a couple of them to a sweet lady at church for her little girls....they're cut out, but not assembled yet!!!
3) Remember last week when I was at Jess' most of the week because of her tonsillectomy....well, I started on an afghan.  My thoughts were to make it so I could use up some of my yarn stash....the only thing I didn't have was green, which I really wanted to include....so it was off to Wally World....yes, to buy MORE YARN!!!
I think I'm gonna like it....to cover up with....as I crochet at night!!!
 4)  I crocheted a hat and scarf for a sweet young lady for Christmas....
....still have to include the beads on the fringe!!!
 Crocheted another hat for....well, not sure who'll get this one!!!
 5)  My sweet brother-in-law asked me to make a few things to sell in his new shop.  If any of you are locals, please visit Elegant Touch Floral and Gifts on Emory Road in Powell, TN....and tell 'em Deb sent 'ya....not that it will get you any credit, or anything like that!!
;)
6)  Our family is gonna be blessed with yet another baby before the year is out.  So far this year, our cousin and her hubby (actually I say she's my niece!!!)....had a baby boy....our nephew and his wife a baby girl....and this nephew's brother and his wife are expecting a baby girl in December.
Here's what the new baby is gonna get....
 7)  Pappy and I purchased this china cabinet from a friend some time ago.  We originally planned on putting it in my craft room....but that didn't pan out....so....we....he....finally got it put in the dining room on Saturday.  It will be getting a coat of paint, though.  I know a lot of people don't like the idea of painting over stained wood....but....it has some water damage....plus it's way too dark!!!
So....look for it in a future post....when I get some "spare" time to get her painted!!!
 8)  If you could do me a favor....and remember when you visit my blog....to head over and "vote" for our local elementary school to receive new playground equipment!!!  It's the first thing you'll see in the column over on the right!!!
9) And now....for the announcement....if any of you would like a little owlie of your own....I'll be taking orders until around the  first of December....so that I can get them made and sent to you in time for CHRIST-mas!!!
If you're interested....just leave me a comment....and I'll get back with you about cost....colors....etc!!!
Or....you can e-mail me....
nanabananadesigns@comcast.net
Yep....that's me....NANA BANANA!!!
You can "click here" to see a few other little owlies!!!
You know....sometimes I feel guilty because I don't "work"....but when I look at some of the things I get accomplished....well....maybe I do "work" after all!!!
And....I know that anything I'm able to do....is only by the grace of our precious Lord and Savior!!!
Ain't God good?
Oh, yes HE is!!!
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
  3. Congrats to Hallie! Your hats and scarves are so cute. I used to crochet a lot, but now sewing and embroidery take my extra time, and of course being on the computer.
    I hope my eyes hold out so someday I can enjoy crocheting again when I have less other stuff to do.
  4. Don't forget Ms. Debbie to use the flat rate boxes of Priority Mail to ship outside the city or even with in the city. I shipped Jonpaul's winter coat last year for under $10. It will be less expensive that way. You can look up the prices of the boxes I'm sure at USPS.com. Cute things you have made. I keep telling you that you are so crafty, what a wonderful gift to have. Love ya.....Robin :)
