Friday Food for Thought!!!

 Edited to add...
I wrote this post last night.
Look over to the right at the "verse of the day"!!
It's not odd....it's GOD!!!
(Psalm 40:1)

Hurry up and wait!!!

As I've gotten older, my patience has gotten much, much better....
....but, when I was younger, I was far from patient!!!
Do you think that's the norm?
Does patience usually come more with age?
Is that one of the virtues of getting "mature"?!?
;-)

I recently read a quote by Rick Warren that was something about how God never gets in a hurry, but is always on time.  I shared the quote with our daughter, and she told me that she had came across something like that herself in her Bible study and also from several other sources, so she knew that God was trying to speak to her heart!!!

So....why not share it with y'all, too....'cause maybe somebody reading this is waiting impatiently for something.  Maybe you've prayed and prayed for something, but God just doesn't seem to be answering your prayer....at least not as quickly as you would like.

Habakkuk 2:3
This vision is for a future time.
It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.
If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.
It will not be delayed.

I've heard it said that God answers prayers in one of three ways....
"yes"
"no"
"wait"
All of us would probably rather have an instant answer....but if we'll just be patient....
....God will answer our prayers....
....in His time!!!

HOPE  you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend,
Sweet Reader!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. I was so impatient when I was younger. I think that's why the Lord had me endure 11 pregnancies...nothing is harder then waiting 9 months x 11 years to meet an new friends straight from Heaven!
Happy Labor Day weekend to you too!

  2. Ugh, I'm horrible at patience... but it's definitely been something that I've been thinking about lately and wanting to work on, so now you've given me even more reason to not wait! Thanks for the inspiration!

Have a great holiday weekend and thanks for joining us for Friendly Friday!
