Pleasing the Father!!!

A crab and a lobster are secretly dating.

Pretty soon, the lobster tires of the lying and tells her father, who then forbids her to see the crab anymore. "It'll never work, honey." he says to her. "Crabs walk side-ways and we walk straight."

"Please," she begs her father. "Just meet him once. I know you'll like him."

Her father finally relents and agrees to a one-time meeting, and she runs off to share the good news with her crab sweetie.

The crab is so excited he decides to surprise his beloved's family. He practices and practices until he can finally walk
straight! On the BIG day, he walks the entire way to the lobster's house as straight as he can.  Standing on the porch, and seeing the crab walking towards him, the lobster dad yells to his daughter.....

"I knew it!
Here comes that crab and he's drunk!"

The above was one of the daily e-mails I receive  from Mountain Wings As I read it, I felt so sorry for Mr. Crab....'cause I could totally feel his pain. He was trying his very best to "fit in"....but he was also trying to be something that he wasn't designed to be...it went against the grain of how God had made him and what his purpose was in life.

I know exactly how Mr. Crab must have felt....'cause in the past, I've tried my best to be what others wanted me to be....and thru "trial and error"....with lots of emphasis on the "error"....I've learned that the following verse of scripture contains a message....that was meant precisely for me.....

Galatians 1:10
Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God.
If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

If my intentions are to please someone other than HIM....then,
"I would not be Christ's servant".
OUCH!!!
That hurts....but, I promise, Lord....
....I'll try my best to put You first from now on!!!

HOPE you have a Fantastic Friday,
Sweet Reader!!!

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

Beholding Glory

  2. This really spoke to my heart today in a deep way as I have been struggling again with trying to "change" who I am so I can please others and be what they think I should be. Beautiful reminder here with God using your words to speak to his child. God bless you the way you bless so many others.
