Update on my Mom

All day long, my Mom's heart rate was between 29 and 35 beats per minute...and she is absolutely exhausted. They put a temporary pacemaker in this afternoon and her color and oxygen are already improving. A permanent pacemaker will be put in tomorrow.  The triponin level in our blood is usually around .1 (point one)....Mom's was 48....yes, FORTY EIGHT. One paramedic said she had never seen anybody's that high. I rode in the ambulance when they transported her from one hospital to a larger one with a cardiac team.  In a conversation with the ambulance driver, he told me that my Mom would be okay....that he had seen lots of miracles in his job.  Later on, as we shared our faith (ain't God good?) he told me that one of the miracles was my Mom....that he had never seen anybody's level that high and they still be alive.
Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers.....please continue to pray for her....'cause obviously our God ain't finished with her yet!!!
In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
p.s.....one day soon, if time permits, I will share some more details about the last few days....lots of "it's not odd, it's God" moments!

  1. Deb:

I work in a hospital and part of my jobs is reviewing patient charts (heart attacks being one of the indicators we look at). I have never heard of a troponin level being that high. People with much lower levels are admitted and often undergo invasive procedures - up to and including bypass surgery.

Certainly God is not finished with your mother. This is amazing, but then again, we serve an amazing God!

    Hugs & Prayers,
    Joan

  6. As Joan above, I'm a nurse and review all patient charts in our facility to make sure they meet Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance guidelines for admission.

The highest troponin I've ever seen in 12. Even 4.8 would be consider bad.

    You have a miracle!
God bless. We will keep praying.

  10. Hi Deb, the triponin levels are the cardiac enzymes. Your mums were over the roof. I have never known anyone to have a heart rate that low unless it is falling prior a cardiac arrest. She sounds like she was badly dehydrated?
May the Lord continue to heal and strengthen her.
    Much love Crystal xx
