I think I can....

 ....I think I can....I think I can!!

When my Mom was in ICU, as I walked into the hospital one morning....already tired and it was still very early in the day....
....this verse of scripture came to mind....

I can do all things through Christ
which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13

That verse kind of reminds me of....
The Little Engine That Could.

He had confidence that he could get the job done....that even carrying a heavy load that he could....with effort....make it up the hill.

Same with me....but my confidence is not in my own strength, or efforts....
....it's entirely....
"through Jesus who gives me strength"!!!

So....my mantra will have to be....
....I know I can....I know I can....I know I can....
because HE says so!!!

HOPE you have a great weekend, Sweet Reader!!!

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. An intriguing posting. That's what makes us strong in Him. He gives us strength when we're tired and he will keep us from stumbling. Even in the night He slumbers not, and watching over us. Why should we be afraid? Let's look at/upon Jesus. Thank you for this encouraging post.

As you know Ms Debbie, this is my verse, and God knew I needed to hear it this morning. Thank you for being God's messenger.

  3. Love the photo...and this is one of my favorite verses. Awhile ago a friend shared a paraphrase of this verse with me..."I can do all things through Christ who continually pours His strength into me." I try to visualize this and His living water steadily saturating me and soaking me in His love and power!

  4. I love the "all" in this verse. There isn't a limitation to God's strength. And in turn, to ours. What a faith booster for today -- one that I needed!

    Blessings,

  6. This is a verse I have used many times myself. I have prayed for your mum. Its hard to see your loved one ill.. But she is in good hands and God is with the both of you. One day we are all given our ticket to leave this earth of pain and hurt behind. Then on we go, to become the sweet spirit we were always meant to be, and a special addition to Gods Heaven. Much love Crystal Mary xx
