Painful Mending!!!

I don't like to mend.
I have a tendency to let it kinda pile up until it takes me several hours to get it all finished.  You know....things like a ripped seam, or sewing on a button....hemming, mending rips and tears.

When we have an injury, or surgery....
....it takes time for our bodies to heal and that mending can be painful, too.

I hurt my knee.....well, let me say I "re-hurt" my knee in a fall several months ago.  It will get a bit better....then, the pain and soreness is back with a vengeance, depending on what I've done.  Walking on hard surfaces, like the grocery store, can really send it into a tizzy!!!

Our small group prayed for healing of my knee, and my sweet friend Ms. Kathy even laid her hands on it.  The next morning it didn't feel too bad, so I walked with my friend, Ms. Evelyn....then, proceeded to run errands, keeping me on my feet all.day.long!!!  That night, I didn't sleep much due to the pain, even having to get up around 4 in the morning to pop a couple of Advil.  Sometime in the night, I felt the Lord speak to me....not audibly, but in my spirit....mending is painful!!!  I believe He's trying to teach me a lesson thru my painful knee.  I truly believe that our precious Savior tries to teach us a lot of things thru the pain we endure....be it physical....emotional....and even the things that affect our spiritual walk with Him!!!

And....don't ask me why, other than it's just another gut feeling that I have....
.....I think that the pain I was feeling was God mending my knee!!!

Do I believe He is going to heal it completely!!!
Absolutely!!!

That's why I cling to Hope!!!

Philippians 2:13
For God is working in you.

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

Blessings,
Deb

  2. Your words today and spoken to me once again in a powerful way. I have had a setback in my healing with old symptoms coming up...but I think the "fear" of this has caused more problems than the symptoms! I do believe God is mending your knee and He is mending my heart and body too :).....It is a matter of trusting Him and HIS Word, and today your post gave me peace in that daily quest. I so enjoy your openness and honesty. Bless you....

  4. Praying for your knee my friend. Wish I was there to lay my hands upon your knee as well. But since I am not....how about I pray right now....Father, I ask Lord that if it would be Your divine Will to reach down and heal Debbie's knee. Lord Jesus, take away the pain if You will. I ask Father that whatever it is that You have for her during this time of mending is for her good and Your Glory. I pray Lord that You find Favor in Debbie and honor our prayers. In Your Precious Son's Name I do pray...amen. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  5. Sweet Deb, I pray your knee will heal soon. Pain is no fun and mending is painful. One truth I've learned about pain is there are times when the Lord lifts our burdens to the point that we hardly know they're there. I've had rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondolitis for over 20 years...both very painful all the time, yet the Lord has carried my these past 20 years and I can honestly say that for the most part I forget I'm confined to a wheelchair and 'suffering'. The Lord is so good!

BTW, I don't mend my clothes anymore...safety pins and the glue gun work pretty good...lol
