What's in your crock pot?

I took a notion Saturday that I wanted to fix something in the crock pot because I saw a post on Facebook by my friend, Ms. Rebecca....and what she had simmering in hers made my taste buds water!!!  All I had were some boneless chicken breasts frozen, so I threw those in and some carrots and some taters and a few spices.  I fixed some green beans and cornbread.....and Pappy and me both ate way too much!!!!

How 'bout you?
Do y'all use your crock pot a lot?!?!?

To be honest....I sometimes forget that I even own one.
But, I'm gonna try my best to use it more, especially this winter.

So....share with me....what's some of your favorite crock pot meals?!?!?

A bowl of vegetables with someone you love
is better than steak with someone you hate.

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. Try the Ranch house pork chops. I pinned this on pinterest but it come from the real moms kitchen blog (want her to get credit). Very flavorful & tender. I don't use as many pork chops as the directions b/c there is only 2 of us but keep everything else the same, more gravy is ok by us. Have made these several times. Hope you enjoy these. Becky

  3. We just crocked our first roast the other night. It was so yummy! My daughter-in-law uses hers all the time and it's such a yummy and easy way to prepare food...I'm with you, I've got to use mine more, especially now that the cooler weather is here. Crock-pot dinners just sound more comforting during the autumn and winter months! Looks like I need to get connected with Cindy the crock-pot queen

  4. I made a big batch of chili Friday night and it felt pretty good since it was so rainy and cool! I love my crockpot, but don't use it nearly enough. I mostly make chili, pork roast with potatoes and carrots, or beans in it. At Thanksgiving and Christmas I always make my cornbread dressing in it and everyone loves it. I would love to have different recipes that people like so I could try something different. I use my pressure cooker a lot because I don't plan ahead enough to use the crockpot and I can toss something in the pressure cooker and have it done in a flash. If you have a real good recipe for the crockpot please pass it along - I am interested!
