Lay It Down

There's an old hymn that tells us to.....
"take your burden to the Lord and leave it there".

So often, I've carried things that I'm struggling with to the altar,
only to pick the burden right back up and carry it back to my seat and out the door when the service was over.....
and nothing at all changed.

Or, maybe I prayed to God in the privacy of our home.....
but with the same results.....
because I didn't truly let it go and let God handle it.

I first heard this song last night when a friend of mine shared it.
The lyrics are simply awesome and truly spoke to my heart!!!

I want to share it with y'all because some of you might be struggling, too.

(don't forget to turn off my PlayList above before listening)

Psalm 55:22
Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

In HIS Most Precious Lve....and with mine, too!!!

Blessings,
Deb

  1. You spoke right to my heart Ms Deb!! So often I say to God "I'm giving this to you, but I'm just gonna hang on to it while you take care of it" Uh.. not how it works! If I'm holding onto something I supposedly gave God - my hands are too full to grab hold of the blessings he wants to pour into them!
