I felt God lead me to the word "Pride" today....
because this is something I struggle with.
I know He's working on me in this area of my heart.
Isaiah 26:5
He humbles the proud
and brings down the arrogant city.
He brings it down to the dust.
and brings down the arrogant city.
He brings it down to the dust.

Oh Debbie, love this post today. My Bible Study lesson tonight is on PRIDE! Perfect timing! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteLove this! God speaks to me about my pride all the time. I am still a work in progress.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed these quotes.... I find myself there a lot! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGood job here today. Good message.
ReplyDeleteI love this post today too, Debbie!
ReplyDeleteAs I picked up my food at the food pantry today, I realized that there were those volunteers looking down on us... That wold be pride! I just made sure I smiled at them and thanked them.

Dear One,
DeleteI've been on both sides of the counter at a food pantry before. There can definitely be pride. Your humility and cheer were the perfect response! You rock!
Hugs,
Helene
I don't think owls are prideful-very wise, but not prideful in their wisdom...lol
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteEven though I am closing Wednesday's Word I would love you to link your posts to Sunday Stillness.
Thanks for the good thoughts on pride.
Blessings,
