What's good for the goose......

......is good for the gander!!

That old saying pretty much means that if it's good for one,
then it's good for all.....
 but, I don't think that's the truth!

I Corinthians 10:23
“All things are lawful,”
but not all things are helpful.
“All things are lawful,”
but not all things build up.

I'm having to purge some things from my life that aren't "helpful" to me and certainly don't serve to "build up".....
instead, they tear me down.....
and cause me to have a judgmental attitude.
These things can be completely innocent and okay for others.....
but.....
with my personality.....
and that human instinct for nosiness.....
they only serve to be a big hindrance for me!
And, do you know how difficult it is to be totally honest about this?
But, I feel God is calling me to put it all out there.....
 be transparent about my faults!

What about you?
Is God doing a work in your heart about something that is completely "lawful".....
yet, for you.....
only serves as a distraction, or a hindrance?

Hope you have a terrific Tuesday, Sweet Reader!!!

Breathing in Jesus,

Deb

Edited to add:
After I published this post,
 (Tuesday Morning, 4-15-14)
I saw this in an e-mail from K-Love.....

Romans 12:2
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world,
but let God transform you into a new person
by changing the way you think.
Then you will learn to know God’s will for you,
which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Thanking God for His confirmations!
