True love lasts.....

This sweet couple is in our SONday School class.
They just returned from an African safari to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary!
(totally surprising they're old enough to have been married that long)

They were standing in front of us during the worship service yesterday and it just really touched my heart to see her reach over and take his hand!!!

Matthew 19:6
 So they are no longer two but one flesh.
What therefore God has joined together,
let not man separate.

Breathing in Grace,

  1. Hi Deb! You know, it always seems like I want the 'splashy' effects. Big, sweeping gestures. But really, just wanting to hold her husbands hand after all these years is all the 'splash' that's needed. Real life is in the quiet, small moments. And you have captured that so beautifully!
    Blessings,
    Ceil

  2. What a blessing...50 years together, and just returning from a Safari! We have about 7 years to go before that milestone, but I doubt we'll be doing anything quite as adventurous as them to celebrate. :)

  3. That precious picture is full of their love for each other. Very beautiful. I will be praying for you tomorrow, hope the weather doesn't get too bad before you can get home. ((hugs))
