{ Friday Foto Friends #153 }

Caution:

You know for me it's either feast or famine with fotos and today is a bit of an overload!

These are a few of the fotos we took on Tuesday when we visited Ark Encounter in Kentucky with our Special Friends from church. The day was absolutely gorgeous, as you can tell from the beautiful blue skies. I tried to put these in somewhat of an order that made sense as far as the sequence of what actually happened. I know that a lot of liberty was taken as to how the inside was designed and the animals were fed and the waste was taken care of, but Y'all, it was absolutely awesome to stand inside that massive boat and just imagine what they went through for 40 days and nights of rain. What faith Noah had since it had NEVER rained on the earth before this flood.

So, here we go.....

Pappy took this foto from the parking lot of a small gas station we stopped at to fuel up before entering.

Just absolutely amazing craftsmanship.....

Pappy asked a fellow to take a foto of us with my phone so it's a little blurry.
Notice the image of the cross in the wood.
Pappy had to act silly.....

HOPEfully, you can click on the fotos to enlarge if you want to read the descriptions.

I thought the painting below was so unique.
The description is underneath the foto.

What Noah's living quarters might have looked like,
although I'm inclined to believe it wasn't this fancy - just my opinion.

The dove returning to the Ark with an olive branch in its beak so Noah knew the floodwaters were almost gone since olive bushes grow close to the ground.

A selfie of Pappy and me.....

What Noah's carpenter shop might have looked like.
I actually took these fotos for my brother who loves to work with wood.

This is just a part of the many fotos I took.
I want to go back later and read more of the "signs" I have pics of!

If you EVER get a chance to visit this massive replica of Noah's ark, please don't hesitate.
It's a LOT of walking but HOPEfully, you'll have the next day to recover like we did.

It is simply awesome.

Happy Friday, Everybody.
HOPE you have a wonderful weekend!

{ Friday Foto Friends #150 }

HOPE everybody has had a great week.
Are you happy it's Friday?
Yeah, me, too!
You wouldn't think I'd still feel the same way about Friday's since retirement,
but I guess old habits are hard to break.
Kinda like trying to give up chocolate!
Who am I kidding?
Why would anybody even want to give up chocolate, right?
(I know some of you don't like it.....
it would be best if I didn't)

I've been a bit under the weather this week so I'm just gonna share a few things from around the house.

My current fall wreath on the front door.....

This delicate bud vase that was gifted to me by one of my best friends. It belonged to her paternal grandmother. I keep it sitting in the kitchen window and like to keep fresh cut flowers from the yard in it.

This beauty was actually at Mom's house on the back of her well house.
It was HUGE!
Anybody know what kind of spider it is and if it's poisonous?

And, finally my daisy mums.
Aren't they gorgeous?
I got them on a sale rack at Lowe's last year.
He loves me, he loves me not!

It's supposed to be another hot one for us here in East Tennessee!
Have fall temps arrived in your neck of the woods?
I'm ready, Y'all!

HOPE everybody has a great weekend.

{ Tuesday Tidbits }

Edited:
Most of the fotos didn't show up yesterday,
so HOPEfully Y'all can see them now!

If we're Facebook friends, you probably saw this already, my view out our back door at the gorgeous sunrise yesterday morning. I've always wished we lived where we had a clear view of the sunrise and sunset, but God still allows me a glimpse every now and then!

Update on the She Shed:
Pappy's giving her a coat of paint on the inside to brighten her up.

I don't promote it or talk about it a lot, but I'm a true believer in the use of essential oils for health because after all, WHO made those plants that the oil comes from? I consider them our "balm of Gilead".  My sweet friend hugged me at church SONday morning and told me she smelled joy! Did you know that joy had a smell? 😊 It's one of my favorite oils.  This diffuser sits on the table next to "my chair" in the living room.

Don't tell anybody I showed you this, but.....

It'll be over a week since I've seen these kiddos when I finally get to hug and kiss those sweet faces.
This Nannie is in need of a "fix" big time!
Aren't they gorgeous?
Yes, they are and they're 4 of our greatest blessings!
I'm so ready for that littlest one to curl up on my lap.....
and all of them to tell me they're about to starve and thirst to death - 😉
💙💙💜💙

God has been so good to us, Y'all!

Sharing just a few things on my heart and running thru my head this morning.....

HOPE your day is terrific, sweet Friends!

Image result for camera quotes

Happy Friday, Y'All!

Is it hot enough for 'ya in your neck of the woods?

It was miserably hot and humid on the 4th of July, so needless to say we had to eat indoors.  I didn't get any fotos to share on the 4th, but we had a great time, especially the kiddos! After we ate they played outside. Oh, to be young again and not let the heat and cold be a deterrent to having fun!

Here are a few fotos I managed to get this week.

I told you it was hot!  Even the cows sought out a cool pond of water to escape the heat and this was about 10:00 in the morning!

"Make hay while the sun shines"

I old barns!

These aren't very clear because I took them out a dirty windshield in a moving car.....

and no, I wasn't the driver!
The sun was beginning to go down as we drove west on the Interstate coming home from a "girl's afternoon/evening out" with our sweet daughter!

And.....
that's a wrap!

Stay safe and cool this weekend!

[ Friday Foto Friends #135 }

I mustache you a question?
Sorry, I just couldn't resist!
😉

So, how's everybody doing?
Did you have a good week?
Is it hotter than blue blazes in your neck of the woods like it has been here?
But.....
yesterday we got rain!
Glorious rain, Y'all!

I almost forgot about getting pics of the garden and these aren't the best quality because I was trying to stand on my head.....
which, by the way, is not good for somebody who suffers from vertigo!
😵

I think I'll be picking beans next week!

I've already pulled one off and popped into my mouth!
So yummy!

 Green beans -
I thought I planted the rows pretty far apart, but it's a jungle in there!

And, talk about a jungle -
these are the maters!

  Cucumbers -
and I don't think they're going to do well unless some bees decide to pollinate them. I've only gotten two and they are loaded with blooms.

 Spider Lace -
these come up volunteer every summer from seeds that fall into the garden. I love these flowers -
Pappy, not so much.
They're an heirloom because they originally came from my paternal Grandmother, Mammie,  many years ago.

When these get ripe, they'll be "purple" -
my favorite tomatoes!

As I was walking back from the garden I spotted a lightning bug on this flower!
Are lightning bugs more plentiful where you live this year?
They are here!

My newest garden flag!

No truer words were ever spoken!
And, yes, that's a rusty gas can.
If you know me well, then you know I have a love of all things rusty!

Somebody tell me the name of this flower.
I moved it from another part of the yard last year and it's growing like crazy in its new location!

And, last but not least, a flower our grand girl picked for me on the "field trip" we went on a few weeks ago!

So, that's that about that!
(something my Mammie used to say)

HOPE everybody has a great weekend!
We'll be entertaining the grandkiddos this evening -
makes Nannie's heart happy!
