{ Wednesday's Word - Lowly }

Lowly:
low in status or importance;
humble

The shepherds in Palestine were at the bottom of the social  classes.....
yet, angels from heaven went to them first to announce the birth of Jesus.

Jesus Himself was born in a manger,
not the place fit for a King!
Both the shepherds and the manger were more than likely smelly and stinky.

Jesus became our Shepherd and came to earth to die for our "stinky" sins!
He came in such a way not to intimidate -

but to give us "lowly" ones great HOPE!!!

Thank You, Jesus!

  6. Your post is a great reminder for us to not look down on others. Jesus was born in a lowly manger of hard working homeless parents. There is a great lesson there!!

  7. Very well said Deb. We are so smelly and stinky, just like that stable, and yet He washes us white as snow. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!
