{ Ears to hear }

Matthew 11:15
 Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!

Pappy and I watched this movie Saturday evening.
The Mom in the movie, Marlee Matlin, and the son are both deaf, as are the maternal grandparents.  The grandfather speaks a lot about "deaf pride" and is very proud of being part of the deaf community.

Then, our message SONday morning was taken from Mark 7:31-37, where Jesus healed the deaf man.
(click to read at Bible Gateway).
Our pastor also spoke about racial prejudice.

As the Super Bowl was beginning SONday evening, Marlee Matlin was doing the sign language for America the Beautiful and The Star Spangled Banner.

Since I don't believe in coincidence,
I'm not sure what God is trying to tell me.

Any suggestions?

  5. I look at this with a different twist. Maybe He isn't trying to tell you something. Maybe this is His way of letting you know that He is proud of you for listening to Him. It is apparent in your blogs that you love the Lord and you study daily and listen to the signs He sends your way. This could be His way of letting you know He notices that you listen to Him. Just my take on it.

  7. Maybe he wants you to learn sign language or if you know it brush up on it and be ready to use it if He needs you to.
