{ A Funny Story }

This isn't what I normally share here on my blog, but I thought y'all could use a laugh today.  I shared this little story with my bestie yesterday and she about wrecked her car laughing so hard.

She and I were sending texts back and forth and she had shared with me a couple of things that had happened to her that brightened her day.  Here's part of the text I sent back to her.....

"Sounds like a great day for you.
Better than mine earlier.....
a bird pooped on me.
I kid you not."
(of course part of the reason she burst out laughing had to be the emoticons I chose.....
do you love those things as much as I do?)

To share with you what actually happened.....
I had gone for my walk and was feeling really good because I walked farther than I usually did.  I was coming down the home stretch, headed back toward our driveway when SPLAT.  I thought to myself what in the world was that.  Something had just hit my eye and glasses.  It didn't take but a few seconds to realize what it was.  And, would you believe that crazy bird even followed me? It landed in a tree right above me.  Needless to say, I made sure that I wasn't right under the branch it was sitting on.

Now, in our Armor of God study this week, we're talking about being thankful in all circumstances. In trying to practice doing just that here's what I was thankful for in this situation......

#1 - that the bird hadn't been eating polk berries
#2 - and it didn't have diarrhea

So if you see me out walking today,
think nothing of the umbrella.....
even if it isn't raining!

HOPE you have an awesomely blessed Thursday!

Don't forget, tomorrow is our Friday Foto Friends.
I promise no pics of what happened to me today.....

  2. I am so glad you could find humor in that situation. I had that to happen to me and I found no humor in it. LOL

  5. 😂😂😂😂😂😱 How yucky!!!!! One day as I was driving, all the birds hanging out on one side of the street decided to cross the road over my car, all of them splatting my car. It sounded like hailstones!

  6. Yep, could have been worse - what if you had been gazing into the sky at some wonderfully shaped cloud or a brilliant ray of sunshine and it landed farther down your face - definitely something to be thankful for! (and yes I am laughing). Several years ago when Steph was little we had taken her for a check-up and I had my window down about an inch and suddenly felt something on my arm, and guess what that splat was. Have to say I was not happy at the moment but I did wonder how they have such good aim to get it through a very slightly open window.
