{ It's Not Odd, It's God }

I didn't go back and look, but I'm pretty certain that I've titled a post the same as this one in the past.  Many years ago this was a little phrase that I felt I had coined, but then found a book with that title so there went my originality!
 😏

But, I wanted to share a little story with y'all that was totally an "it's not odd, it's God" moment.

One day last week I'd had enough of all the medicine bottles in the cabinet and told Pappy that I was going to have to do something about the mess.  Well, my hubby decided to take on the task himself (for which I was VERY grateful). As he went through the meds, he came across a prescription for Bactrim and he was wondering out loud what it had been prescribed to him for.  I told him that Bactrim was used to treat a UTI and I remembered that last February when he fell and got hurt that he also developed cellulitis in his leg and that was what the Bactrim was for.  He couldn't take it because it made his stomach upset.

So.....
fast forward to Sunday.
I started feeling a little under the weather, kinda chilling and just feeling "blah" and wouldn't you know it.....
later on in the day guess what I discovered was wrong?
If you guessed UTI, then you're right!

Now, this isn't something that one likes to discuss  because it's kinda personal.
But.....
if it gives God the glory.....
which, it does.....
then, I'll gladly let y'all know what was wrong.

I know that I'm not a "privileged character" so to speak and think that I'm all special because these sort of things happen to me because I know that you have your own stories, too.  It's just that since Pappy lost his job we are right now without health insurance but hope to remedy that.  Should I have taken a medication that wasn't prescribed for me? The medical profession would say no.  Many of you would probably say no, too.  But, I know that little snippet of my life played out the way it did because otherwise I wouldn't have remembered that medication was in the cabinet.  In my heart, I know "it's not odd, it's God".

  7. Ain't God Good....Oh YES He is!!! My doctor just told me that 'legally' he has to say don't take someone else's prescription, but taking Mr D's antibiotic over the weekend might have kept me from being very sick....as in possible hospital sick. I don't advise it, but sometimes we have to do what we have to do!!!

  9. I love it when God provides what we need when we didn't even know we were going to need it! He's already there! Praying you will soon be feeling up to par and back to "normal"!

  10. Well, Joe and I have swapped medicine now and then. As long as it won't interfere with your other medications, I think it is fine. Sure seems like it was a God thing!! Glad for you!
