Mishmash Monday.....

HOPE everybody had a wonderful THANKSgiving celebration!!!
I know we did.....and as usual I ate way too much!!!

I've got a few things to share with y'all today.....
so here goes!!!

Yesterday, I began a devotional written by Mr. John Piper.
This devotional is a daily reading to begin on December 1st and end on December 24th,
with a special writing that can be read on December 25th.

You can download this devotional by clicking on this link......
Wouldn't it be fun to read it together?
And, please feel free to share with all your family and friends!!!

Secondly....
I want to wish my hubby a very happy birthday today!!!
I won't say how old he is.....
but this birthday makes us the same age for a couple of months!!!
I truly love this man who I feel God chose just for me!!!
This might sound selfish....
but because of his job and the fact we NEVER know from day to day what time he'll get home.....
maybe say a little prayer that he will get off early enough for us to go out to eat this evening!!!

And, last but not least.
I've shared many times on my blog how much I love acrostics.
I saw this one on another blog.....
and I'm pretty sure I'm the lady it was meant for.
Thanks so much for thinking of me!!!
Isn't it awesome?!?!?

A Friday Full of Faith!!!

As y'all know I adore acrostics.
Here's one I saw recently for the word FAITH!!!

Forward
All
Issues
To
Heaven

Hebrews 11:1
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen;
it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

Hope y'all have a fantastic, faith-filled Friday!!!

Truck Stop Ministries!!!

Our church is a big supporter of Truck Stop Ministries.
Several of the Chaplains spoke at church last night.....and oh, what a blessing to hear their testimonies.  One of the things that were told that they use quite often in their messages to the truckers....is....acrostics.  Well....if you're a regular visitor here at Jeremiah 29:11....then, you know that I ♥ acrostics!

Here are a few that Mr. Kevin shared....
....and a couple that I'll add
....just for good measure!!!
;-)

Jesus
Others
You

Having the assurance
Of the
Promise of
Eternal life

God's
Riches
At
Christ's
Expense

Forsaking
All
I
Trust
Him

Love this one....
....because our JESUS is definitely ENUF!!!

Everybody is a sinner
Nobody deserves to go to heaven
Unless we turn from our sins
Faithfully trusting in Jesus

If you get a chance, check out the Truck Stop Ministries site to get an idea of their ministry to truckers!

HOPE you have a Marvelous Monday,

Sweet Reader!!!

D-R-A-M-A

As y'all know.....I ♥ acrostics!!!
But, drama....not so much!

D  - Decisive
R  - Rebellion
A  - Against
M - Mature
A  - Attitudes

 Galatians 5:16-17
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives.
Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

HOPE you have a drama-free Tuesday,
Sweet Reader!!!

A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E!!!

As I was studying one morning this week,
I read this verse of scripture.....

Philippians 2:5 (NLT)
You must have the same attitude
that Christ Jesus had!!

Since I love acrostics, I thought I would come up with a word for each of the letters in the word ATTITUDE....and find a verse of scripture to go along with it.  We should all strive to live up to each of these characteristics in order to have an attitude like Jesus!!!

A - Awareness
Habakkuk 2:14
For as the waters fill the sea,
the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the Lord.

T - Tenderhearted
Ephesians 4:32
Instead, be kind to each other,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

T - Thankful
I Thessalonians 5:18
Be thankful in all circumstances,
for this is God's will for you who belongs to Christ Jesus.
I - Inclusive
Job 32:21
I won't play favorites,
or try to flatter anyone.

T - Trustworthy
Proverbs 11:13
A gossip goes around telling secrets,
but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence.
U - Understanding
Proverbs 16:21
The wise are known for their understanding,
and pleasant words are persuasive.

D - Devoted
I  Timothy 2:10
For women who claim to be devoted to God
should make themselves attractive
by the good things they do.
E - Endurance
Hebrews 12:1
And let us run with endurance
the race God has set before us.

HOPE you have a great Thursday, Sweet Reader!!!
