Jesus, Bring the Rain!

This is a pic of storm clouds we ran into on our way home from spending the day out and about yesterday.  We eventually ran into a heavy downpour. As I looked at the picture, I thought of the lyrics to the Mercy Me song, Bring the Rain!!!

I truly want EVERYTHING  that happens to me....to bring HIM glory and honor....'cause He is so worthy!!!

In the Wilderness!!!

We don't choose seasons of wilderness - God does.

Things can be going along smoothly, when all of a sudden the rug gets pulled out from beneath you; a loved one dies, a friend betrays you, you lose your job, you lose your hope or your sense of purpose in life.  You find yourself in a new and unwanted place, trying to find your footing, trying to get back to "normal".  But returning to normal isn't the goal of the wilderness; being transformed into the image of Jesus is the goal.  

.....wilderness is God's preparation for restoration.
