A deadly virus.....

Our computer must have gotten the message that we're on vacation this week,

'cause it decided to take a break, too!!!

We got some kind of REALLY nasty virus.

I've never seen the like of pop-up ads in my life.

They were all over the screen,

including videos.

I finally put everything that I wanted to save on an external hard-drive,

and Pappy just did a complete restore!!!

This is about the 3rd time we've had to do that with this computer!

But....

the good thing is.....

 when you do a complete restore,

it makes your computer just FLY 'cause you've gotten rid of everything on it!

It's all cleaned up and ready to go again!!

Remember, I've told y'all how frugal we are.....

so, HOPEfully this old gal 

(computer and myself).....

have a few good years left!!!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could just wipe our slates clean and start over, too?

Well, my sweet readers.....

we can do just that.....

every single day!!!

A short run for fun.....

Pappy is on "stay-cation" this week.

We've decided to just take a few short trips,

instead of spending a lot of money on a big trip.

(we're getting more and more stingy frugal in our old age)

This past Saturday we drove about an hour away to an Amish community in Chuckey, Tennessee.

 Mountain View Bulk Foods is a little store that has a HUGE assortment of cheeses and breads and candies and spices and just all sorts of neat stuff.  We brought home a big homemade cinnamon roll with caramel frosting (it was delicious), some REAL butter, and this gorgeous hand-made sign.....

The Farmer's Daughter is the restaurant where we ate a late lunch.

We had never been to a restaurant that served that much food.

You get your choice of two meats and they bring TWELVE small containers of vegetables.....and dessert.  We ate around 2:00 in the afternoon and, needless to say, we didn't have enough room to eat supper that evening.  I couldn't even eat my dessert!!!

And this sign just said everything about the atmosphere inside both these establishments.....

We had such an awesome day together!!!

Is it sad that I'm already dreading Pappy going back to work.

Oh, how I look forward to when he can retire!
