Many of you have probably received the e-mail about the man who was given the choice of saving a train load of people, or his son. I've gotten that e-mail a couple of times in the past, but just as a written story. When I received this e-mail from Ms. Shari, I pretty much knew what to expect...but I didn't really expect it to affect me like it did. By the time it ended, I was crying...and all I could think was could I have done that if I had been the father.
Could I sacrifice our one and only daughter....could I sacrifice either of our precious grandsons?
I have to be honest....I'm not sure.
But, God did that very thing...
He gave up what was most precious to Him
in the whole world.

I hate to say this, but there is NO WAY I could sacrifice either one of my boys, yet, I'm so thankful God sacrificed Jesus for me!

I think any mother would say the same thing Jess did. There's just no imaginable way a mother could do that. Thats what makes God's gift to us all the more marvelous! How could you love other people so much that you would let one of your children die so that they might live?? I cant answer that but Im certainly glad God didnt mind doing that for me :-). If that doesnt make you wanna live right, nothing will.
