Sunday Morning

I always say I'm not going to do a Sunday post...but most of the time I wind up doing one...so....I want to start something new.

Please leave a post, send an e-mail, give me a call, write me a letter, pay me a visit, send me a note via carrier pigeon....whatever it takes....let me know what your favorite hymn of all time is...and if a memory goes along with it, and you are willing to...please share that with me, too!!!

I'll start us off....with Pap's favorite!!
He said he didn't know why it's his favorite...it just is!!!

"Jesus Paid It All"
by Elvina M. Hall in 1865

I hear the Savior say,
"Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.”

Refrain:Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.

For nothing good have I
Whereby Thy grace to claim;
I’ll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb.

And now complete in Him,
My robe, His righteousness,
Close sheltered ’neath His side,
I am divinely blest.

Lord, now indeed I find
Thy pow’r, and Thine alone,
Can change the leper’s spots
And melt the heart of stone.

When from my dying bed
My ransomed soul shall rise,
"Jesus died my soul to save,"
Shall rend the vaulted skies.

And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete,
I’ll lay my trophies down,
All down at Jesus’ feet.

In His Love...and with mine!!!

  1. this was an easy one, and makes me cry to read the words and remember my Mamaw Maples singing it, but that's a good thing, "precious memories"!!! This is my favorite song that she always sang, & she sang this as long as I can remember and I would give ANYTHING if I had a recording of her singing it!! I can close my eyes and I can see her playing her piano and almost hear her sweet voice........I loved her SOOOO very much!

    THANK YOU LORD FOR YOUR BLESSINGS ON ME

    1. The world looks around me as I struggle along
    They say I have nothing, but they are so wrong.
    In my heart I'm rejoicing, how I wish they could see
    Thank You, Lord, for Your blessings on me.
    CHORUS:

    There's a roof up above me, I've a good place to sleep.
    There's food on my table, and shoes on my feet.
    You gave me Your love, Lord, and a fine family.
    Thank you, Lord, for Your blessings on me.

    2. I know I'm not wealthy and these clothes are not new,
    I don't have much money, but Lord, I have You,
    And to me You're all that matters tho' the world may not see.
    Thank you, Lord, for Your blessings on me.

    back to CHORUS

    thanks for bringing this memory to me today!!
    love you lots!
