Sunday Morning Song

I asked Pap to help me come up with a song appropriate for today, since it's the Sunday before Thanksgiving...and he reminded me of the song,
"Thank You, Lord, for Your Blessings On Me".
Ms. Tammy....a sweet lady we went to church with several years ago used to sing this song a cappella. When I researched for the lyrics, I discovered that it was written by the Easter Brothers after one of the brothers accepted Jesus into his heart. He was very poor, and as his daughter-in-law said, his circumstances didn't change, but his attitude did!!!
The song is being sung in the video by Jeff and Sheri Easter....
and Vestal Goodman joins in at the end!!!

Verse I
As the world looks upon me, as I struggle along
They say I have nothing, but they are so wrong
In my heart I'm rejoicing, how I wish they could see
Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me

Chorus
There's a roof up above me, I've a good place to sleep
There's food on my table and shoes on my feet
You gave me your love, Lord, and a fine family
Thank you, Lord, for your blessings on me

Verse II
Now I know I'm not wealthy,
and these clothes, they're not new
I don't have much money, but Lord I have you
And to me that's all that matters,
though the world cannot see
Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me

Hope each of you have a blessed day with the Lord!!!

In His Love...and with mine!!!

  1. not sure if you remember or not, but back about a month ago, on sunday, oct. 26th, you asked for our favorite hymn and memory, and this was mine, because my Mamaw Maples always sang it. it brings such precious memories to my mind, I love her so much and I can close my eyes and hear her singing this lovely hymn!
    love ya!
