A time to be born...a time to die!!

I want to share some thoughts that I have about living....
....and dying!!!
Have you ever lost anybody really close to you....
a family member....a best friend????
Doesn't it hurt so badly that you just can't understand how you will ever get over the hurt and the sorrow that you're feeling so deep down inside of you????
That's how I felt when I lost my Daddy. Somewhere along the way...before Daddy died, or since then....I can't remember....but I heard somebody say that when somebody we love dies, the sorrow we feel....the tears we shed....are actually for ourselves....for our own loss and our own heart-break.

Job 16:16 (NLT)

My eyes are red with weeping; dark shadows circle my eyes.

If our loved one knew Jesus...if they had accepted Him into their hearts sometime in their life-time....then, upon their death, they entered into His presence!!!

Psalm 48:14 (NLT)

For that is what God is like.
He is our God forever and ever, and he will guide us until we die.

WOW!!!
What a thought that is, huh???
To immediately enter into the presence of Jesus....I just cannot even imagine...but I do try to....and I know that's going to be me one of these days!!!

Colossians 1:4-5 (NLT)
For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God's people, which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News.

So, yes, I guess our sorrow is a bit selfish...because, if our loved one was suffering from health problems....then they are now in perfect health, living in heaven!!!

We just lost a precious man in our church....and that is probably what got me to thinking about "a time to be born and a time to die". (Ecclesiastes 3:2)

Psalm 89:48 (NLT)
No one can live forever; all will die.
No one can escape the power of the grave.

We might not be able to escape the "power of the grave".....
but we all have to make the choice as to where we will spend eternity!!!

Matthew 7:21 (NLT)
Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

I love this verse of scripture I came across:

Ecclesiastes 7:1 (KJV)
A good name is better than precious ointment;
and the day of death than the day of one's birth.

Why is your day of death better than the day you are born???

Because....

Psalm 51:5 (NLT)
For I was born a sinner—yes, from the moment my mother conceived me.

I was born a sinner....but, I accepted Jesus into my heart at the age of 11....and I know that when I die....I will.....without a shadow of a doubt.....enter into the presence of my precious Jesus....what better hope could I ever ask for?!?!?

Romans 15:13 (NLT)
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

In His Love...and with mine!!!

  1. Pastor Dallas touched on this last night. Yes, Mr. Fisher has entered His presence and yes he is in perfect health now. You know what they say when you have heard it twice or more. All my love... :)
