In honor of Independence Day.....I want to share this super duper quick dessert idea. I had planned on making a "fruit pizza" to take to our 4th of July bash at my sis-in-law's....but I think I'm gonna make this instead!!!
Like I said....because it's super duper quick and easy!!!
My kind of "cooking"!!!
Red, White and Blue Dessert
Angel Food Cake cut into cubes
(use store bought, like I'm gonna do!!!)
Strawberries
Blueberries
Large container of Cool-Whip
(save some strawberries and blueberries to garnish the top)
Place a layer of cake in the bottom of a trifle bowl
(I was blessed to get one of my mother-in-law's bowls that I'm gonna use)
Top the cake with strawberries
Place a layer of whipped topping over the strawberries
Continue with another layer of cake
Top with blueberries
Another layer of cake
Finish with the rest of the whipped topping
Garnish with strawberries and blueberries
Add a flag...and...voila...you're ready to celebrate!!!
