Happy 30th Birthday.....

.....to our daughter....Jessica Leigh!!!

At 11:42 AM....30 years ago today....we became the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl. I had an amazing pregnancy....only sick a couple of times and that wasn't even enough to count. Never had morning sickness....labor only lasted about 6 hours....and then our blessing arrived!!! She weighed 8 lb 1 oz at birth, and since I had already done my duty, I was left in recovery while everybody else went to check her out. My Mom told me that Daddy asked her if babies got bigger after birth because he couldn't believe all that baby was in my tummy!!! I sure could...she was a mover and a shaker...and hasn't slowed down one iota since then!! Jess was always a very good baby. I took her bottle away at a little before 9 months....she walked at 11 months....she was potty trained at 15 months....and NEVER gave us any trouble. I know y'all will find that hard to believe...but the biggest "problem" that we ever had from her....was the fact that she and her Momma butted heads quite often because they're both stubborn as mules!!!

That still happens sometimes!!!

We could never have asked for a better baby, toddler, child, or teenager. Of course....Pappy says he started turning gray when she started driving!!! But, that needs to be a post for Pappy's blog (which will never happen!!!)
Now that she has babies of her own....I hope she's caught a glimpse of exactly what she means to us!!!

Happy, happy 30th birthday,
"sweet child of mine"!!!
We love you so very much!!!

Proverbs 31:29 (KJV)
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
