Nature's Bounty

This should actually read: God's bounty!!!
Last fall, our son-in-law brought us a bunch of gourds that he and his Dad had grown. He meant to come back and get what we didn't use, but you know how time gets away from us sometimes and we just don't get around to doing what we intend to do?
Pappy finally dumped them out back in the "dumping ground". It's an area in our back yard that gets all the scraps and leaves and grass clippings....it's actually a HUGE compost pile.
Well, this past spring/summer...suddenly things started coming up and spreading and blooming...and developing...until....here's what we picked off the vines:

Even that little red tomato came from a tomato plant that came up "volunteer", as my Mamaw calls it.

Isn't that just amazing?? We never actually planted anything.....just dumped them out and God did the rest!!!

One hot Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago....we decided that it was time to pick the gourds and pumpkins. It was up to us to do the work to pick the harvest that God had provided!

Luke 10:2 (NLT)
These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
