Prayerful Thursday

God Thursday morning, precious readers of my blog!!!
I hope each of you have had a good week!!
I don't have too many requests this week...which means we might be in for a slew to post next week...but...here are all the ones I know about. If any of you know of any others....please don't hesitate to leave me a comment, or send me an e-mail, and I'll be glad to get it posted!!
Before I list the prayer requests for this week....I just want to give a HUGE PRAISE to our church. The county we live in has been having a county-wide crusade this week, and our church.....
BEECH SPRINGS BAPTIST CHURCH...
hosted it last night.
Dr. Hollie Miller, pastor at Sevier Heights Baptist Church, was the speaker.
What an amazing service we had!!!!!
First of all....I don't believe our choir has EVER sounded that good. I don't know what the difference was last night...but....WOW!!!
Dr. Miller's message was very, very good. Several gave their hearts to Jesus, and there were some re-dedications!!!
I told somebody I felt like we had a revival!!!
Praise the Lord!!!
1. The family of Charles and Connie Franklin
Mr. Charles Franklin passed away this past weekend. He is Ms. Drama's Dad. If you recall, her brother, Connie, passed away last weekend. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers as they go thru this very difficult time.
2. Mr. Clifford Layman
Please pray for Mr. Layman. He was admitted to the hospital earlier in the week with pneumonia. He is the Dad of a sweet lady in our church.
3. Several of Pappy's co-workers have friends and relatives who are suffering. I don't have specific names, but God knows who they are.
4. Ms. Pat
I went to school with Ms. Pat from the time we were in first grade!! She will be having surgery on her hand on Friday and it's a 3-hour surgery. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
5. Mr. Jim Thurman
Please continue to remember Mr. Jim in your prayers as he heals from a blood clot.
6. Mr. Chuck Sharp
I received a praise report from Ms. Glenda concerning Mr. Chuck. He was on a ladder painting and the ladder slipped and he fell about 12 feet. God definitely had His mighty hand on Mr. chuck and that ladder, because it could have been so much worse than it is. He's still in quite a bit of pain..but, here's Ms. Glenda's update:
Just got back from the ortho Dr.'s. One of them told Chuck that he must be living right. Prayers are answered......his leg is broken in the top of the tibia but won't need a cast. It is aligned properly and he will continue wearing the immobilizer and stay off of it as much as possible for at least the next two weeks. They x-rayed the arm and it is also still properly aligned and they put a permanent BIG ORANGE cast on it up to the elbow -- NO surgery. He will go back for both in two weeks and get further instructions on the leg and a smaller cast, then, on the wrist.

We were in a service last Sunday morning....and I loved the conversation between the pastor and the congregation....he said, "God is good"....and the congregation said, "all the time"....then, the pastor said "all the time"....and...all God's people said,

"GOD IS GOOD"!!!

Oh, yes HE is!!!

PRAISE THE LORD!!!
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
