30 Days of Truth - Weeks #15 thru #30

Because I'm feeling led to start a weekly study on something that's a bit more interesting than telling y'all these "truths" about myself....I'm gonna finish up this "series" this week by answering the last 16....yes SIXTEEN...."truths"....in one post.
I promise to try not to bore you....so, I'll try to make  my answers simple....and short!!!
So....here we go!!!

#15 - Something or someone you couldn’t live without, because you’ve tried living without it.
I would be devastated if I lost any of my family members, or closest friends....but the One person that I absolutely cannot live without....
....is my precious JESUS!!!

#16 - Someone or something you definitely could live without.
The answer to this one would have to be "something"....because I'm a firm believer that every "someone" comes into our lives for a reason.
So....with that being said....the one thing I could live without is dishonesty.

#17 - A book you’ve read that changed your views on something.
Oh, this would have to be "The Shack"....probably the best book I ever read....besides the BIBLE!!!

#18 - Your views on gay marriage.
It's wrong....based on scripture!

#19 - What do you think of religion?
Or what do you think of politics?
This is a very odd "truth" to me....to combine religion and politics.  I believe that anybody can be religious over just about anything....there's a huge difference between being "religious"....and being a Christian.  Being a Christian means being CHRIST-LIKE!!!
As for politics....I'll admit right here....I'm one of the least political people you'll ever meet....I leave that to hubby....and our daughter!!!

#20 - Your views on drugs and alcohol.
I've personally had family members who let alcohol have such a terrible affect on their bodies and minds.  I cannot say that I "condemn" anybody who drinks, or uses drugs.  My Momma always told me....
"given the right set of circumstances and the right frame of mind....it could happen to any of us".   And....since my "drug" of  choice for many years has been food....well, I somewhat understand being an addict!!!

#21 Your best friend is in a car accident and you two got into a fight an hour before. What do you do?
If we are truly best friends....then, I think we both know that any disagreement we might have does not mean that we don't love each other.  I would immediately go to them and see what I could do to help....and say "I'm sorry"!!!

#22 - Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life.
Remember, I promised to keep this short....so, I couldn't begin to list my regrets....but I also hope that I've learned from my mistakes!

#23 - Something you wish you had done in your life.
Again, there's several things....but 2 that immediately come to mind....are....
*had more children
and
*gotten a college education!

#24 - Make a Playlist to someone, and explain why you chose all the songs.
This would be a personal PlayList to Pappy...and like I said...it would be personal!!
;)

#25 - The reason you believe you’re still alive today.
I'm still alive today because obviously God ain't done with me yet!!!

#26 - Have you ever thought about giving up on life? If so, when and why?
Truthfully....yes....but it was a fleeting thought.
Please don't tell me you haven't had a similar thought go thru your own mind when you were struggling!
Right now....there are 2 little boys called GRAND-sons who make life so worth the living!!!
:)

#27 - What’s the best thing going for you right now?
My precious family....but most of all my precious JESUS...and being able to share HIM with others!!!

#28 - What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?
I'm so sorry....but I had to laugh when I read this one!!!   First of all I'm old....now don't go reminding me of Sarah and Abraham....and secondly, I would have to quote that old saying....
...."is there a star in the East"?
Get it?!?!?
:)
(just kidding)

#29 -  Something you hope to change about yourself. And why.
I recently read a devotional that was titled "Q-TIP"....which immediately caught my attention.
Do you know what Q-TIP stood for?
QUIT TAKING IT PERSONAL!!!
That's what I want to do....is quit taking so many things personal that I know doesn't apply to me at all!!!

#30 - A letter to yourself, tell yourself EVERYTHING you love about yourself.
Well, this would be a very short letter.
I could probably get it all written on a little post-it note!!!
;)
But, seriously....what I love about me....is JESUS who lives in me!!!

So....how did I do?
I wish I had done all 30 at once to begin with!!

Look for an upcoming "series".....actually 2 of them....which will probably start in January.
So....until then....Tuesday's will be whatever the good Lord lays on my heart!!!
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
