So....let's finish up Romans!!!
The longing of Paul's heart was for people to be saved.
Romans 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:11.....anyone who trusts in Him will never be disgraced.
Faith comes from hearing the Good News about Christ.
Everything comes from God and exists by His power and is intended for His glory.
We are to give our bodies to God....letting them be a living and holy sacrifice. We are not to copy the behavior of the world, but let God transform us into a new person by changing the way we think.
God's will for us is good and pleasing....
....and PERFECT!!!
Romans 12:3....Don't think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourself.
God has given each of us different spiritual gifts.
~~~prophesy
~~~speaking out in faith
~~~serving others
~~~teachers
~~~encourager
~~~giving - generosity
~~~leadership
~~~showing kindness
Don't just pretend to love others....really love them, with genuine affection and delight in honoring each other.
Work hard....and serve the Lord with enthusiasm.
Rejoice in confident HOPE!!!
Be patient in times of trouble.
Keep on praying.
When God's people are in need....be ready to help them.
Bless those who persecute you....pray that God will bless them.
Be happy that others are happy and cry when your friends cry.
Live in harmony with each other.
Don't think you know it all!
Never pay back evil with evil.
Remain honorable.
Do as much as possible to live in peace with everyone.
Never take revenge.
God says....that He will take revenge.
He will pay them back!!!
If your enemies have a problem, or troubles....be kind to them. It will be like heaping burning coals of shame on their heads.
Don't let evil conquer you....but conquer evil by doing good.
Give to everyone what you owe them.
Pay your taxes and government fees.
Give respect and honor to those in authority.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Love does no wrong to others.
We must live decent lives for all to see.
Don't let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.
We aren't to condemn, or look down on another believer. We all will stand before the judgment seat of God.
Each of us will give a personal account to God.
Don't cause another believer to stumble and fall.
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.
We aren't to brag about anything we do, or say....except what CHRIST has done thru us!!!
Paul promised the Romans in his letter to them that he would visit them on his way to Spain. He asked the believers to pray for them.
Paul warned believers to watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people's faith by teaching things contrary to what they had been taught....and to stay away from them.
Paul ended his letter to the Romans.....
Romans 16:27
All glory to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, forever.
