Weekly Recap #49 - (Part 2) - Philippians

The letter to the church at Philippi was written by Paul while he was in prison in Rome.

Philippians 1:3
Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.

I think all of us should claim this as our life verse!!!
Philippians 1:20
For I fully expect and HOPE that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for CHRIST, as I have been in the past.  And I trust that my life will bring honor to CHRIST, whether I live, or die.

Be humble....and think of others as better than yourself.

Philippians 2:14-15
Do everything without complaining and arguing so that no one can  criticize you.  Live clean, innocent lives as  children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.

Paul told the people at Philippi that he would soon send Timothy to visit them and he also hoped to visit them again, too.

Paul's focus:  forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.

Another verse I'm gonna claim....
Philippians 4:6
Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything.  Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.

Things we are to fix our thoughts on....
~~~what is true
~~~what is honorable and right and pure and lovely and admirable
~~~things that are excellent and worthy of praise
Philippians 4:11
Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
Philippians 4:13
For I can do everything through Christ,
who gives me strength.
Don't you love that last verse?!?!?
Me, too!!!
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
