A Truth for Thursday - Peace

Christian Graphics
Peace....
....inner tranquility and poise of the Christian whose trust is in God through Christ!!

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Peace....don't you love even the sound of that word?
Just saying "peace" brings about such a calmness to my soul!  Peace is what I've been feeling a lot of lately.  Even during anxious times....HIS peace abounds!!!  As I talked about this topic with a friend over lunch a few days ago....we agreed that it's kinda scary to be so at peace during a time when others think we should be falling apart.  If we let Satan cause us to doubt....then, we're gonna wonder why we're not worried, too!!!

 2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation.
The Lord be with you all.

As we go thru life....each time something happens to us, it helps to strengthen us for the next little bump in the road.  And....if we fall apart during trying times....what does that say about our faith in God?  What does that show others...especially those who might not know Jesus?

 Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.

No....the peace that I have....is definitely not Deb....it's HIM in me!!!

 Numbers 6:25-26
May the Lord smile on you
      and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
      and give you his peace.

Peace....
HOPE....trust and quiet in the mind and soul, brought about by a reconciliation with God

 Philippians 4:7
Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.   His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
