Promises, Promises

Has somebody ever promised you something,
then went back on their word?  I know that's happened to me....and I'm sure that I've made a promise to others that I wasn't able to keep.  I do try to let them know that I'm not going to be able to fulfill the promise....but with my poor feeble brain sometimes, I'm sure I've let a few slip thru the cracks!!!

On Monday, Pappy and I had to make a 2 hour trip....one way....to take care of some personal business.  While we were in the vicinity, we made a surprise visit to a couple who are very near and dear friends of ours.  As we sat on their back porch talking....mostly about the Lord....it came up a thunderstorm....then, the sun came out....and over the tops of the houses behind them was a beautiful rainbow....and right above that rainbow was another faint one.  Yes, a double rainbow.
But....it got even better.
As we made our way back down the road toward home, we ran into several showers, but when we turned into the road leading to our house....the sun was out and I told Pappy that I bet if we looked close enough, we would see a rainbow.
Sure enough....there was yet another one!!!

What a precious blessing to see 3 beautiful rainbows in one day.....a sweet reminder of God's mercy....that He ALWAYS keeps His promises!!!

 Genesis 9:14
When I send clouds over the earth,
the rainbow will appear in the clouds

This verse of scripture is a reminder that no matter what dark cloud we might be going thru....
we need to always look for the silver lining!!!

HOPE each of you have a blessed Wednesday!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  4. How beautiful. The one time I remember seeing a double rainbow I didn't have my camera with me. That's when I started carrying it with me everywhere I go. Never know when you might see a rainbow or some other Kodak moment.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Blessings,
