Are you fretful?

Fret....just a simple little word....that holds a lot of "worry"!!!  It seems I keep coming across that word everywhere I turn....in e-mails....devotionals....but, especially scripture!!!  Several months back when I was struggling with a situation, I read a lot about "fret" in the 37th Psalm and that became very special scripture to me.  Since it keeps appearing so often, I know our precious Savior is speaking to me....but,  there must be a lot of other people out there who are dealing with a lot of fretting, too!!!
Here are a couple of definitions of "fret"....

~~~be vexed, or troubled; worry
~~~to be worn or eaten away; become corroded

I found these scriptures to go along with each of these definitions....
....that teach us not to "fret"!!!

Vexed, troubled; worry
Philippians 4:6
Don’t worry about anything;
instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

To be worn, or eaten away; become corroded
 Matthew 6:19-20
Don’t store up treasures here on earth,
where moths eat them and rust destroys them,
and where thieves break in and steal
Store your treasures in heaven,
where moths and rust cannot destroy,
and thieves do not break in and steal.

 Psalm 37:7a
Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.

HOPE you have a wonderful 'fret-free' Wednesday, Sweet Reader!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
