Cover Up!!!

Okay....it's once again time for "true confessions"!!!

Please....please....tell me that I'm not the only female who especially likes the winter-time....because I don't have to shave my legs as often?!?!?

I have some really pretty tights and trouser socks that are decorative and look quite nice underneath my pants/dresses/skirts....but they also hide that my legs haven't been shaved in a few days....okay, okay....a week!!!  Thank the good Lord for menopause and that the hair grows slower on the legs these days....the facial hair is a different story, though!!!
LOL!!!

Our GRANDsons were here earlier in the week and wanted to go outside.
It's HOT in this neck of the woods, about 20 degrees warmer than "normal" for this time of year....so I opted for capris and a tank top because I had also planned to do a bit of yard work. As I got warmer, I decided to roll up my capris a bit....and once I saw my legs, immediately rolled them right back down!!!

If I haven't grossed y'all out yet....hang in with me for just a few more minutes!!!

Isn't hiding my much needed shaved legs in the winter time....sorta the same as hiding our sins?  On the outside, you would never know anything's wrong....we go to church, we get involved, we put on our "pretend" face....and often, to be blunt, we "hide behind the cross of Jesus"....when all along "in secret", a life is being lived that is shameful and immoral....
....and sometimes even criminal!

Matthew 7:21-23
“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.  On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’   But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Now, if you'll excuse me....I hear a razor calling my name!!!

Hope  y'all have a wonderful Wednesday, Sweet Readers!!!

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. What a wonderful analogy.....I am with you girl on the shaving issue; know just what you mean....and God also knows exactly what we are hiding with our "spiritual talk".....

    Thanks for a great post....

  2. Wow, what an analogy. Yes, Nancy wrote just what I was thinking when I read your post. The first one was kind of funny. The second one not so much.

  3. Oh I love this post! Laughing with you about the LEGS! Girl, I am with ya!!!! I hate and I mean I hate shaving my legs. I told my husband just recently that I had to shave my legs so I could start wearing some capri pants. I told some of the ladies I know that was having this same conversation with me about "DETESTING to shaving" that the hairs on my legs was long enough to pin-curl!!!! Ha! They found it funny but then I noticed they started looking to see if they could see my legs!!!! And..you are so right Debbie about (hiding) our sins from the Lord...the thing is..HE ALREADY knows it! Very good analogy! Gotta use this one! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  5. Interesting post my friend. You know you might have looked down and thought- Oh who cares? But you do care, and every Christian should care when we come up face to face with some of the uglies of our lives. And I was thinking I have always loved how it felt to slip into bed after having a little "fellowship" with the razor. Just makes you feel brand new- and isn't that the way we feel when we deal with sin and recieve the forgiveness of Jesus? Coming clean is such a good thing!
