That Gut Feeling!!!!

When facing a decision, be it small or large, pause first to pay attention to what you feel in your belly.   This “second brain” will never lead you astray.

I don't know who to attribute this quote to, so if any of you know who it belongs to, please let me know so I can give credit where it's due....but, I recently came across these words and boy did they ever hit home with me.   I had struggled with a situation for close to three years, feeling in my "gut" that something just wasn't right, but not able to pinpoint exactly what the trouble was.  I can remember clearly laying in bed one night and having a distinct feeling that I needed to proceed with caution....and as it turned out, it was indeed the Holy Spirit leading me out of a situation that would have only lead to disaster!!!

Remember after Jesus' resurrection and He met with two of His followers as they walked on the road to Emmaus discussing all the events that had just taken place.  God kept the men from recognizing Jesus so they gave Him a detailed account of all that had happened.  Not until Jesus had sat down and broke bread with these men, then suddenly disappeared did they realize Who He was!!!  It was then that they realized that all along they had a "gut feeling".....

They said to each other, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?”
Luke 24:32

NEVER underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit!!!

Hope you have a blessed Tuesday, Sweet Reader!!!

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  6. The Holy Spirit will use whatever means He needs to get our attention that is for sure! The problem we have at times is "not just chalking it up to nothing" but listening to that still small voice! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  7. We so often ignore gut feelings. Yet, when we have the Spirit, we need to be listening and paying attention more. I know I have gone on a few gut feelings and known afterwards that it was God leading me.
