Let's play favorites!!!

I'll go first!!!
Of course, mine would have to be Jeremiah 29:11-13....

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord
“They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  In those days when you pray, I will listen.  If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

And, for many years....these have really meant a lot to me, too....

Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

And, my verse that I claimed for 2012 to go along with my word "TRUTH"....

Psalm 25:4-5
Show me the right path, O Lord;
point out the road for me to follow.
Lead me by your truth and teach me,
for you are the God who saves me.
All day long I put my HOPE in you!

What about you?

Do you have a favorite that you would consider your "life verse"?

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. Yes I have a favoured. Mine is Proverbs3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and learn not on thine own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.. Love It. God God me this verse before I even knew it. I had to look it up in a concordance to find it. So, thats why it is so special to me.

seemed to be "the facts" and the Holy Spirit would remind me, You can do this through Christ....let Him rise up within you...Let His Word be your foundation in this moment of discouragement, saddness ....refuse self-pity by be determined to know nothing but Jesus Christ and him crucified....for this I was spared!

  3. Deb, for me it depends on the season of my life at times to what my favorite verse it. I have so many!!!!!! But one that I stand on regardless of the season of my life and is a promise from our Lord is
    Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

PRAISE GOD! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  4. The verse that often comes to mind for me is the same as Crystal Mary's. Proverbs 3: 5=8.."Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Indeed, do not rely on your own wisdom, and stay away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones." We have Isaiah 53:5 printed out and taped to our cupboard! Of course Phil. 4:13 speaks to me and I like it in a paraphrase from a friend. "I can do all things through Christ who continually pours His strength into me."

  7. Right now, I am holding closely John 5:20: "For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing". Just, really, the part of the verse saying how God loves Jesus. Yes, simply -- and not so simply -- that. For I know then, He loves me, too. Thank you.
