Selfish and Self-Centered!!!

You know how ministers sometimes have several points to their sermon and they begin each one with a certain letter of the alphabet?  Well, I've noticed how that happens sometimes when I go to categorize certain things in my own life.
For instance....the foods that I like oh too well start with a "C"....
Candy, Cake, Cookies, iCe Cream....Carbs!!!

;-)

And....a couple of major flaws in my personality....
....besides my addiction to all those "c" words listed above....
....are a couple of words that begin with "s".....

.....Selfish and Self-Centered!!!

They say confession is good for the soul!!!

James 5:16
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power
and produces wonderful results.

Prayers, please!!!

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. Oh dear, I think all people, if they are honest, have ( and see) their own special sins. Mine I dare not say to you :-) I admire you for your honesty and pray for your discipleship. Without Him we can do nothing but with Him we jump over a mountain. Lieve groet/ lovely greatings.

  2. It is so much easier for us to point out others sins isn't it? BUT.....when it comes to mine I don't want to admit it! And yes, confession is good for the soul so while we are confessing I need to confess that I am struggling with judging which is something I try SO VERY HARD not to do! Pray for me! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  3. I think I would have to add the "s" ones to my list too! Along with self-pity and skewed thinking at times! I like the verse you brought into your post...Amen for us all. Amen.

  4. Debbie, I just don't see you being selfish or self centered...but confession is good for the soul. Truth be known WE ALL need to confess, for we all fall short...Love Ya!!

  5. As far as the C's go, I'm all supportive, but for the S's, I think sweet, spiritual, sassy, and super-duper, are more appropriate words for you. Once in awhile I come down pretty hard on myself, then I remember I'm not as much of a dork as I thought...must be a menopausal thing!

I have a question for you: If God made women to be the peacemakers in the home, and if we are the ones that set the mood for the whole family each morning, then why did HE give us PMS and Menopause? LOL

    Love ya!
