Thought Provoking Thursday!!!

I came across a little notebook and had jotted down these notes from a book I was reading at the time:

The Christian....
.....should never be agitated
.....should never be beside himself
.....should never be at wit's end
.....should never be in a lost condition

These are my own thoughts:

I'm a Christian.....
.....I've been agitated
.....I've been beside myself
.....I've been at my wit's end
.....but I've never been in a lost condition since HE found me!!!

II Corinthians 4:8-9
  We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed;
we are perplexed, but not in despair;
  Persecuted, but not forsaken;
cast down, but not destroyed.

What are your ideas on this, Sweet Reader?
This inquiring mind would like to know!!!

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. O, Debbie, ME, TOO!
    Exactly.
    One out of 4 leaves me 3 to go - with no earthly reason to be "beside myself, agitated, or at wit's end"!
    Thanks be to God who gives me victory through Christ Jesus our Lord!

  4. Hi Deb,

    Your Corinthian scripture is apt for me. You are the second person to give it to me of late.

    I am going through a time of change, you know all that has been happening too, with my family.

    Now, various people at my church are leaving, including the Pastor, so that has thrown many of us. It would be easy to feel forsaken and deserted. But I don't because I know Jesus walks alongside me, but I have to keep reminding myself to look for the positives. Several in my church are feeling a bit shaken and in the human way of thinking it seems the Lord's timing is all wrong, but of course we know it isn't and He will bring blessing out of all that is happening. Will stop there before I write a blog here.

    Blessings to you - Nita.

  6. Been sort of stressed out for the last few weeks. Thanks for sharing this. It is so wonderful isn't it, to be able to face trying times and not have to despair, or feel forsaken or destroyed. Thanks for the reminder from God's word!

  7. I sure have felt these emotions a lot, and so extremely thankful to have a Savior to run to - because He's experienced all these things as well! Thanks so much for sharing! Hugs ~ Mary

  8. Yes, I, too, have experienced these emotions, and I also thank the Lord for His precious love and salvation through His sacrifice. Christians go through difficult times, but we need not stay in them, even in the midst of them, with His Spirit dwelling in us to uphold us and give us strength.

  10. Hello my sweet friend,

    Oh, yes, I have been stressed-out, agitated and at my wit's end too. And thankful that God never lets go of me. I just visited a blog that shared Proverbs 3:5-6 and liked her words 'How simple life can be if we remember God directs our path'.

    I am blessed that you linked to Think on These Things!
