A Walk in the Park!!!

For quite some time, I've been trying to live in the here and now instead of days....weeks....even months down the road.  I think God had this verse of scripture in mind for me when He inspired Matthew to write it.....

Matthew 6:34
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

I shared with y'all the day this week that Pappy and I just took off and had a wonderful day in the mountains together.  Well, yesterday we did the same thing....except we took the boys to a local park to play.  It got a bit too hot....too quick....but we still had so much fun.

He's getting so big.
I can't believe he will soon be six years old!
Where has the time gone?!?
 Brothers!!!
(notice they both had to bring their work gloves!!)
Seems like in the last few weeks our baby has grown so much!!!
Had to get one of me and Pappy.
Nannie and her sweet boys....I didn't know Pappy took this one!!!
Bridge over Douglas Lake in Dandridge, TN.

And....after seeing the pics of myself....
....I decided that maybe I should go light for supper!!!
Veggies only!!!
Hope y'all had a great week, too!!!

Happy weekend....stay cool!!!

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. Wonderful pictures! Those boys were smart to bring their "work" gloves! I bet the handles and the metal playground equipment was hot to touch!

I have this scripture taped to my computer. SO true!

Enjoy those boys, for soon they will "out grow" us!

  6. Great pictures, Deb! Glad you could "get away" again - nothing like children for putting things into perspective. And I like the verse you put on your chalkboard. I just changed ours yesterday on Thursday - replacing the Father's Day greeting that was still up! "About time," I'd say!

  7. I love how you both can just pick up and have a sweet adventure...especially with the grandkids. The picture Pappy took of you with the boys is priceless.
