Shhhhhh......

......listen!!!
Do you hear it?
Is that "still small voice" whispering something into your ear?
Or....is HE shouting at the top of HIS lungs trying to get your attention?
Oh, well, maybe that's just what it takes for me?!?

Pappy made the comment recently that every single time we got in the car and turned on K-Love, a certain song was playing.  I told him that obviously we needed to hear it but then didn't think a lot more about it....or, did I?  Something (the Holy Spirit) kept pricking at my heart about that song....and when that happens, it's time to take notice....and especially, take stock in my own life!!!

I knew God was speaking to me....and I knew what I had to do!!
Was it something I looked forward to?
No.
But....I knew that if I truly want to live a life for HIM.....and be true and honest with myself and others, but most importantly to HIM....then, sometimes that means HE might have to drag me kicking and screaming to do the right thing!!!

"So let it go and be amazed at what you see through eyes of grace.
The prisoner that it really frees is you.
Forgiveness.
I want to finally set it free.
So, show me how to see what Your mercy sees.
Help me now to give what you gave to me.
Forgiveness."

Proverbs 17:9
Love prospers when a fault is forgiven,
but dwelling on it separates close friends.

Ephesians 4:32
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

Blessings,
Deb

  1. Wow, as I was reading in Jonah this morning. I saw myself, not really happy that God was compassionate and gracious to someone. I would have preferred Him to have not been. "Do you have good reason to be angry?" Jonah 4:4. How many times have I been given His compassion and grace?! I knew I needed to do some forgiving and let it go. Then to come here to get my daily dose of encouragement and see confirmation from God. My heart is full.
His blessings to you, His love, Becky N.
